I discovered Aromatherapy almost 20 years ago when I sought treatment myself and have kept up my interest ever since. However, it was only in 2003 that I decided to take the step of gaining a qualification in the therapy with the eventual aim of working for myself in the area of holistic health. During my studying I also discovered Reiki (although I should probably say it discovered me to be more accurate!) and took my first two degrees in Usui Reiki in 2005. In 2007, I gained my Master/Practitioner degree which is the highest level in Usui Reiki and, with more study and experience, may lead to my being able to attune others to this wonderful therapy. As well as practising Reiki on humans I am fascinated by the way it works on animals. I have always used it on my own animals (cats, dogs and even chickens) and am now happy to offer this therapy to others - see my 'Reiki for animals' page. I gave up a full-time job in September 2005 in order to devote more time and energy, both physical and emotional, to building up my business. I have since gained two further qualifications - in Indian Head Massage and Hopi Ear Candles - and aim to continue to study towards other therapies as and when I can. I hope that my commitment to my business comes across in the way I deal with clients. Being a good listener is essential, as is confidentiality and I consider both of these to be of paramount importance. I will never pass any client details on to a third party and all records are kept under lock and key – not on a computer. I am more than happy for people to contact me to discuss any of the therapies in more detail or to discuss individual requirements. |
